Also I think Sam Jose is stuck with their 3 goalies, nobody needs a goalie anymore should’ve moved one while they could

This is a woeful offer for Necas. You're talking a 1st+. It's going to need to be something that blows the Canes away. Quickly browsing the Sharks prospect pool... maybe you'd get away with just one prospect if its William Eklund, but Grier should (rightfully) reject that in a heartbeat. It's going to take a price San Jose isn't willing to pay for Necas. If you want to turn to the offer sheet, anything below a 1st and a 3rd Carolina will match, then they get a projected early first-rounder in one of the deepest drafts post McEichel. This just isn't good enough for them to consider it right now

Totally fine, he’s a cost we shouldn’t be looking for anyways. Better for us to draft guys

Exactly. I think the cost right now to any team is going to be astronomical because he is perfect for what the canes need anyway. Thanks again for the gift of Brent Burns

I’m just happy to see him play for a winning team. Sharks are on a dog**** path anyways so I’m glad to see him move on.

After the season and playoff Necas had I wouldn’t consider anything near Eklund for Necas. Of course he’s young and has potential but Eklund has a higher ceiling by a bit I think.

I highly disagree, I think their ceilings are very comparable. I agree Necas' value will be lower, but he's also playing out of position and wants to play a more valuable position. I wouldn't trade for Necas if I was in SJS position because it's going to cost way more than they'll want to pay

Yeah it will cost a bit and Grier will get bent over the kitchen sink like he did in the Burns deal lol. What position does Necas prefer? He categorized as like every position on here.

Naturally he's a center. He was put on the RW during the Charlotte Checkers calder cup championship run in 2017-18 and that is kind of where he stayed. His first 9 NHL games were actually as a center.

Way too much for Meier.
Would want the Devils to steer far clear if that's the ask.
