I wouldn't hold my breath. With the way Yzerman went off in free agency he was able to patch the holes in Detroit's roster and only gave up a 3rd rd pick. The problem with trading Bertuzzi he is a UFA at the end of the season and teams aren't going to want to give up much to get him because of that. At the same time Detroit isn't going to have a problem resigning him so why would Detroit give him up for anything less than full value.

Not sure if it will happen during the season or before but I think some trades need to happen. With the roster you put in you're looking at Veleno and Berggren potentially moving up into the lineup and with Fabbri injured to start the season when he returns he'll push someone else out of the lineup. Even if you have Erne and Sundqvist as scratches you'll likely still need to make 1 more forward spot to make room for the 3 I named earlier
