The plan for Eklund down the road was always to transition to center from his draft day that was the plan....I think i'd know the Sharks a little better than a Blues fan haha

Hertl was a winger his first two years and transitioned to Center.

Yea fair but I just can’t really see him making the transition
But I’ve always been high in Elkins so he has the talent for it, same with stuzle for me I see him a LW who won’t really make the jump to C

He played Center all last season in SHL. He will replace Couture down the middle so Logan can transition to wing when Bystedt is ready in a couple years. This will help maximize Logan's value to keep him effective as he ages.

Wiesblatt needs a couple years in the A. Coe will be ready before him and frankly Coe has surpassed Ozzy on the depth chart. I think Ozzy will make a fine bottom six energy player someday but Coe has size and scoring ability that Ozzy lacks.

I think all this looks very realistic (and good!) for Sharks fans. I love the addition of Nylander and think he's a perfect fit with this group, although with so many right-handed shots in the system, I'm thinking maybe Hagel or Guentzel would work too. Agreed on your points about Couture and especially Eklund as a center. For two years down the road, I'd peg Bordeleau here as the 3C and raise Robins on the depth chart.

Gushchin - Hertl - Nylander
Meier - Eklund - Coe
Couture - Bordeleau - Robins
Sturm - Bystedt - Wiesblatt

I think if Bystedt can reach his offensive potential he'll be better as a pivot than Bordeleau. Bordeleau might be better with more freedom and less responsibility as a winger plus Bystedt has the size for an NHL center. We'll see right, maybe we're both wrong.

I think we can both agree that Gushchin is going to make a terrifyingly good top line winger someday, he's so underrated and overshadowed by Eklund and Bords but Gush is so freaking good. Gush has even been pegged as a Datsyuk-lite by Scouching. He's super skilled.
