Defense needs more than a little work, it's bad still, curious can Smith come out of retirement when Campbells hip and groin disappear from all the flaying around he'll be doing with the abundance of high scoring chances that will come his way from the slot or are the oil kind of F....D when that happens?

You’re not getting anything back in those trades. I don’t think they’d normally be cap dumps but they are this offseason.

I dont take salty Leaf fans opinions seriously. As I stated, the defence needs improvement, but Ceci & Barrie are better then what they get credit for.

Not salty at the moment, and you can't say Ceci and Barrie are good with a straight face, and Campbell does have hip and groin problems he just does, and the Oilers do have a leaky defense that has not improved

Foegele doesn’t really have a spot in Nashville anymore since we’ve signed Nino. He would be on our fourth line and with our cap situation next season (Jeannot, Fabbro, carrier are rfas) we can’t really afford that luxury. Price is probably fair but with the limited teams having capspace and Edmonton not being able to take back cap I’m not sure if you’ll manage to get that

Nah, Calgary was bad enough, god I'd love to play LA and Calgary in rounds 1 and 2

Ceci was solid all yr for the Oilers. And Barrie drastically improved his defensive play in the playoffs. Ideally Barrie does get traded and a grittier, defence first bottom pairing guy can be brought in, but thats not because Barrie sucks and has no value. Barrie is only expendable now with Bouchard stepping up and being capable enough to handle PP1.
