My thought process was I know they were in on Tkachuk so I figured they might want wingers but I also don't know enough about the Canes so I'm probably wrong

This is more so making fun of a Canucks article saying the Islanders might trade Dobson, a first, AND a prospect for Miller, which I find hilariously ridiculous

      Pacioretty - Aho - Jarvis
      Svechnikov - Kotkaneimi - Teravainen
      Kase - Staal - Fast

They have a pretty formidable department down the wings.

The reason they were in on tkachuk is because it's Tkachuk and he's a 100 point player. Carolina have only had 1 100 point season post lockout. Eric Staal. 2006. Carolina won the cup the last time they had a 100 point season. Aho keeps flirting with the ability to do it. Svechnikov might get there, but Tkachuk had done it. Plus, Carolina were on the list of teams he would sign an 8 year deal with. It would have been dumber to not be in on Tkachuk

I know. Like, Miller is an incredible player but Canucks fans are out here expecting a better, younger player that solves all their needs along with picks and prospects. And that was a generally well respected writer

      Dobson says yes,

NYI say no. Especially a top 16 protected 2024 1st.

Chi and Arz say no. Ottawa is confused so they just hang up.

      Carolina doesn't have space.

I have been a fan of Myers in the Past, just not sure he has the foot speed or the right personality in the locker room anymore to fit what the Sens really need which is a steady mentoring pairing to play with Sanderson, and can keep up with Chabot, Branstrom, JDB, Thomspon as well.

He may not be fast enough to keep up with Chabot, but have you considered his arm length being so long his stick can be everywhere at once?

CHI says no. 3 years of an unwanted player for only a 3rd isn't best practise. Can ill afford to be giving out handouts when we are in a pit ourselves...
