No chance they trade Tuch, nor do they have any need whatsoever for LD.

Dube is also completely untradeable right now

Sabres definitely won't trade Tuch. But Kylington could interest them if they trust his ability to play RD, problem with that is he doesn't really beat out our current RD's and we aren't going to sit Ilya when we just payed him to play next to Power. If the flames need scoring depth the sabres might be interested in trading Olofsson, if there was a decent prospect coming back. Olofsson is a good scorer and with consistency probably gets 30.

If they were trading Tuch why would they even consider that offer. It goes out of the way to avoid the Sabres needs lol

None of their defensemen have a contract past next year.. Why wouldn't they trade Tuch? They get a 30 pt. Dman and a 30 pt. forward who is 2 years younger.

Would you rather have Dube on the 3rd line or Tuch on the 1st..? Get real.

Are we just going to ignore than 5 of the sabres dmen are RFAs? Would rather have tuch on the first. You have no clue what tuch brings for the sabres. He very valuable for them and they aren't going to trade him

RFA means little more than 1 year of team control if they're coming off a bridge deal, you still have to sign them. I know exactly what Tuch brings for the Sabres - 12G and 26A for a total of 38 points in 52 games. That's 0.73 PPG. He was a -3 last year and plays with speed off the wing. The value of these players is known just through basic research.. it's not some elusive mystery. A top 9 forward (younger than Tuch with similar pts and playing style) and a Top 4 dman is the price being paid for a player like Tuch.

Sure if you look at just points after coming off shoulder surgery but tuch brings leadership and morale to the sabres. If it weren't for okposo, tuch would be for sure the sabres next captain. 2 years isn't that big of a deal. We also haven't gotten into the physical side of things that tuch brings to the table with him being much bigger than dube.

Right, 5 dman without contracts after next year.. Please explain why RFA status is relevant..? There's this illusion that RFA players are somehow on the roster, they're not, you still have to sign them.

They’re not even comparable then.

Tuch: 12 G 26 A 38P in 50 GP for .24 G/GP .52 A/GP .76P/GP
Dubs: 18 G 14A 32P in 79 GP for .22 G/GP .17 A/GP .4 P/GP

.76 isn’t similar point production as .4. Sorry it’s just not.

Firstly that’s in TWO years. You said after next year. Secondly, I don’t think you understand what RFAs mean. Sure they have to sign them and they have a severe advantage on 1) they can only communicate with them until after the season is complete (meaning extensions during anytime) and 2) Buf can match an offer, meaning I’d they really want they can keep all 4 of them for a minimum of 3 on some, more on others (pending age and NHL games played).

Not to mention you are trading Buf Kylington who’s arb eligible and can take a one year deal right to UFA. Exactly what you are screaming what is wrong with Buf defense. Except it happens sooner with him. Didn’t really think that one through did ya

He doesn't play RD at all. No idea why CF lists him as both. Same with Zadorov. Unless Monahan doesn't come back or Dube is forced to terminate his contract Calgary should be ok for depth. Not to mention there are still some good options on the market like Rodrigues and Milano for example

Do you not understand that there are rape allegations going on involving Dube right now? He literally can not be traded. Until the 2018 Team Canada event is resolved he effectively has zero value.

Tuch is from Buffalo, he was very excited to be traded there. It was an excellent PR thing after the whole Eichel debacle. If they were to trade him now it would look horrible on the franchise.

They are ALL arb eligible in 1-2 years time. Kylington is arguable better than 3/5 (not Dahlin and Power), and BUF gets cost certainty because he is due a contract now, rather than signing 4 guys all in one offseason. I dont expect a trade to happen without BUF understanding what a Kylington extension looks like..

Cale Makar was a member of the NCAA, he is not involved in the event at all. All but 7 members have said publicly they were not involved in the event nor were aware anything had happened. Dube was one of the 7 who has not said anything
