Value is fine, but Carolina have more than enough wingers. Pacioretty, Svechnikov, Teravainen, Jarvis, outline a deadly top 6. Miller is a great player, but Carolina isn't a fit. Plus, Carolina can't afford this on the cap

He can’t be LTIR - he’s cleared and apparently playing some summer nhl tournament. Maybe if they move him but starting to seem like they’ll keep him for now.

He had his best statistical year playing mostly C last year.

Aside from Necas, this package does nothing for VAN. Bear is an undersized RHD who is a bottom-pair and the Canucks have no need for another winger. No thanks.

Kotkaniemi put up a 1.5 PPG pace when playing more than 15 minutes last year (only 6 games, but still very impressive) and needs to be given a shot at the 2C role. Miller at the deadline... maybe? But right now, there's no point. Especially when he very much not sustained that kind of pace before

I get your fit concern! Miller's production has been consistent the past few years in Van. He didn't just jump like the rest of the league this past year.
