If Anaheim is struggling, then they could easily sell him for a profit at the deadline.

I mean every team will trade any player ‘for a profit.’ But what does that mean? He’s a 22 year old center playing quality 3rd line minutes. What is a contender going to offer that’s worth more? He was a mid-late first round pick who is panning out as planned. The offer would have to be a first + a strong prospect. That’s possible, and sure I’d consider it, but not likely and definitely doesn’t scream trade deadline bait
