Not really. Roy is a low end, unneeded, long shot prospect, so it is way short of his TDL price and then you've got to pay for the extra two years.

However I think they would want a roster player (Dvorak) if this move is made during the offseason, especially since MTL will be signing Dubois to an extension. Plus MTL will need the cap space, Price will likely play at some point.

Ans he did all that at 18 years old. I leave in Sherbrooke so i saw him many time this year and this Kids is a steal. He was completely dominant this year. Also he was one of the youngest players drafted last year. If he was born a month later he would have certainly gone into the first round of this year pick. He got a quick and precise release, a hockey IQ at a elite level. The biggest thing is he need to work on is skating. But he will get stronger and will be able to fix that.

Windjammer just likes to troll all PLD trades he knows the reality is that PLD only costs a late 1st (or top 10 protected at the highest end) + good players to offset cap like 2 of Drouin/Hoffman/Armia/Dvorak/Byron + a B prospect. He just can't admit it cause he is a Jets fan and will try to die on the Suzuki + Caufield + 2023 Mtl 1st unprotected hill.

The Q still won the 4 last memorial cup. Not that bad for a development league.

He lost a bunch of weight and got in great shape after he was traded out of St. Johns too which will help with the skating

PLD has the value of Reinhart imo. Sabres got a Florida 1st and an A+ Goalie prospect for Reinhart. Could send Dvorak to offset cap if Price is going to be back allegedly

Bang on assessment, the one hiccup being Reinhart didn't pull a stunt like PLD did with CBJ and then refuse to sign a long term deal with the team that traded for him less than 2 years later. It's a bad look which surely will lower the market for Dubois IMO.

However the player comparison to Reinhart is excellent.

Also if it is true that he wants to go to MTL then this really corners the market. Based on these assumptions I would expect Dubois to get less than Reinhart.

Yes totally i saw him in September at Sherbrooke country club (he is a tremendous golfer to) and he was looking like a professional athlete. He was in shape, had all is snack and liquid all setup by a professional. I am 33 and i thought he was extremely mature or maybe let say discipline. A talk a bit with him on the golf course great kid.

At the time the Sabres got Devon Levy in that trade, he wasn’t a top prospect. He was coming of a season in the CCHL had great number but was undersize and playing in a lower caliber. He really break out this season at Northeastern. still he was a very solid prospect but i don’t think he was on many list a a top tier prospect.
