I think this formula makes a lot of sense but the values are way too high for Tarasenko and Tkachuk. Let me go over the top explaining:
2023 1st
Neighbours - 2020 1st and improving his stock
Kyrou - if an offer sheet was used on him next year it would be 2 1sts, 2nd, 3rd in value
Tarasenko for a 1st and 2nd
So in effect, you're saying an RFA with no contract, who will cost over 9.5m longterm, who has been clear that he will not sign with his team and in effect requested a trade, is going to get 5 1sts, 2 2nds, and a 3rd? He better win a few Conn Smythes if he's going to take up 10 million and cost most of the team's future.
