Am I the only CBJ fan that would be okay with this trade? Tkachuk is a much more complete and dynamic player than Laine and has shown amazing chemistry with Gaudreau.

I would push for them to take Voracek or Nyquist as well though.

Monahan is arguably the worst contract in the league. It would take at least a 1st and a 3rd to take it on.

ehh its only a year left. At most itd cost a first but its not like CGY is in a cap crunch with losing Gaudreau and potentially Tkachuk.

I think it costs a bit more but I also agree that its highly unlikely with those two leaving they pay to move him just to clear cap space. Unless they are doing a major retool of some type and want to sign Kadri or something.
