You're getting a p/g winger for MUCH cheaper than Tkachuk, a great young defenseman, a 50-point versatile two-way guy, a cheap RHD, AND a first. It's not like the rest of the trade is scraps.

Nylander and Tkachuk are closer that people think. Tkachuk's physicality gives him an edge, but that edge doesn't give Tkachuk added value of a top prospect and a first. Plus, theres not a fit with the Leafs given our cap situation

Nylander is a good player who fits a mold in a league where most forwards are lesser versions of him. Tkachuk is in a now rare group of guys who can be power forwards and contribute major offensive output. That’s a rare combo in the game today and it means no they aren’t all that close.

Holl has value in the fact he's a right handed defensive defenseman. There's a big portion of GMs who overvalue those kind of players and there is a reason he hasn't been moved yet; Toronto would lack such a player without him on the roster.

Kerfoot is a bit harder to move because there's a good number of guys who are able to play the role he does, but he's not a negative asset. I think someone like Minnesota, Seattle, Calgary (in a less bombastic trade) could be interested if the price is low.
