CGY would certainly be loony to not take that trade. My guess is if STL and CGY were in fact in negotiations, STL probably wants Tarasenko moving out for cap reasons and likely doesn't want to move Kyrou. I know he's not at Tkachuk's level, but Kyrou is a pretty outstanding player.

It was *speculated* that NJ offered the #2 pick alone for him and Calgary declined. I believe Fitzy probably offered it and Calgary, still thinking Gaudreau resigns, declined.

I disagree. CGY is losing leverage quickly, especially if the smoke that MT prefers to go to STL becomes fire. We're on the same trajectory as Trouba leaving WPG for NYR. All they gave up was a 20oa and a roster replacement. Blues should be leaving Kyrou out of the talks, a core player and one of the few guys with some speed in a fast league.

I personally got the information from the NHL breakers Instagram page. They claimed to have gotten their information from Jeremy Rutherford but didn’t state where the information came from. I view it as a legitimate source, kinda a puckempire or puckreport that doesn’t post nearly as often. So basically I heard from a guy who heard from a guy who heard from a guy

Every analyst that talks about this that knows way more than you or me, starts with Kyrou, then adds two of Perrunovich/Neighbors/Bolduc/1st rd picks. Bolduc is the one guy out of all that that I prefer to keep. We will see - and maybe sooner than later

Touché - I follow JR and blues stuff pretty closely and have never heard that but could have happened. I don’t think Krug would waive to go north of the border though.

Tune out the analysts/mouthpieces and ask yourself: why would the Blues lose the trade that is being forced unto Calgary?
