Jets don't want Evans or Pezzetta.

I find it hard to believe Winnipeg wasn't on Anderson's no trade list.

No one is trading for Schmidt and especially at that cost, he'll be a Jet this year.

What exactly is PLD crying about?
Just curious what the vibe is on him on the northern plains of Manitoba.

OS 7x7
WPG can match or dont
MTL really doesnt care lol

If they dont its a 1st ,2nd and a 3rd round pick
If they do then over time PLD will become Toxic and moved for less
If they're lucky they'll get a Oreilly return or a little less then given Oreilly>PLD as he wins Faceoffs at Elite Level(been #1 a few times)

MTL OS is just daring WPG to F themselves over
By Proxy it eliminates them as a future contender tying up cap and a roster spot by someone who hates them
As seen in CBJ if ignored long enough PLD will get increasingly aggressive

Either way Accepted or Not
WPG walks away worse no matter what
Their only out is to accept the OS and hope MTL's
unprotected 1st is a good one and PLD does the same to them triggering a Tank

He wants to go home to MTL
Tired of playing on losing teams
See's what MTL's building with Slavkovsky-Suzuki-Caufield
Now he's made public Statements he wants to play here

Its less about wanting out of WPG and just wanting to go to MTL
It completely took away any of WPG Leverage to trade
No GM's are lining up to overpay for a player who before 25 put in 2 trade requests and acted unprofessionally.

WPG had Leverage
They lost it when he walked away from Arbitration
This happens when a Player plans on signing 1 year deal to push closer to UFA status
Or when he intends to accept and OS like Kotkanemi did last year
It 100% means he doesnt intend on staying in WPG and is taking his first ticket out to MTL

I dont ever remember any player lobbying this hard to play here

He seems to be a very fickle young lad.
He should have just signed his 1 year QO, that would have taken him right up to UFA status, no?

I seriously doubt that Montreal has the current funds/cap to OS him now with all the improvements they made over the summer.
I am hoping there is a turning of the tide this year in the East, or at least a lot more competitiveness/parity come playoff time: Ottawa, Montreal, Columbus, NJ, etc.
Boston, Washington, and Pittsburgh are all aging and didn't do too much to improve.

Lmao. What a pigeon. 24 years old and has stormed his way out of Columbus and now wants out of Winnipeg - no chance he can make it in the pressure cooker of Montreal.

The only trade in which I've ever seen 4 roster players move was when Gretzky went to L.A., and that was really 3. This makes no sense for either team. Two players and a prospect/pick is a pretty good "norm" for a top-line player.

I think he'll be fine not because of his on Ice Play
I think he'll be fine because he'll handle the Media well

Paul Byron handles the Media like a Pro since Day 1
He's survived a lot longer her then anyone thought possible based on that alone
He's a good player who's overpayed but if he wasnt Billingual he'd be gone for a couple years now IMO

PLD on ice willl crack
Off ice he'll make good enough excuses the Media will buy into and build around
Sadly that's what we have to deal with here

It stands to reason if PLD really wants to play for the Habs, he would need to take less $$$, especially via an offer sheet since Montreal would have less time to move money around.
Not to mention he would probably need to give a hometown discount since everybody knows just how bad he wants to play there, including Montreal.
Winnepeg should cut and run from him just like Columbus did. Part of it was definitely Torts, but it seems he carries some emotional baggage wherever he goes.
Laine was a very respectable return for PLD, and we are hoping that the Gaudreau signing will help sway Laine to sign long-term as well.
Like you indicate above, who knows, after a couple years in Montreal, PLD may just revert back to his old miserable self.

Byron was a waiver claim who was born in Ottawa. PLD is a third overall, big, Quebecois center who is 24 years old with uncapped potential. They are not the same and they cannot be compared.

7x7 is my prediction
They wont pay him more then Caufield or Suzuki
I feel Caufield will end up around 7.5 or a matching Suzuki's deal on max term

PLD has got over 50 pts twice in what like 6 year or something?
Suzuki's on his 3rd year and without shortened seasons he's have hit that by his 3rd year Pro
As it stands Suzuki already tied PLD career high and has learned to take a Faceoff and surpass PLD in that regard quickly given how bad he was at it.

Everything about him is better
He cannot be given more especially when he's begging to play here (not the other way around)

Are You high?

Re-read that and come back to me.
I said because he speaks french he'll survive a lot longer then he should
How you heard "they're the same player ummm durrrrrr" is baffling to me unless again you're high?

I couldnt have been more clear without looking at you and saying
"i know your high Stephane but im comparing Speaking French to Speaking French and how it extends your timeline in MTL"

Why would you be begging for garbage? You're here ever day begging for Dubois. So obviously you know he's good. It would finally give Montreal that 1C they've been searching for the past decade.

Me? This is my first ACGM involving Dubois in Winnipeg - you've got me confused with someone else (albeit my profile picture may be the most recognizable on this site). I was interested when he was in CBJ but that was before I knew he was a pout and a child. Good player, cancerous person.

No he's French there's a difference
Danault hit 50 pts + as often as PLD who's really inconsistent
Its nice he had a 2 really good year he got over that hump years apart on 2 different teams
But who's paying over the 6.5m QO for that with Term?

PLD Value goes up the closer he gets to that cost
Issue is most expect he'll get 8m just over what Suzuki a Superior player who's done more in less time is getting.

PLD OS is a cheaper way to go
If WPG matches good we castrated them cap wise going forward
They'll have to trade PLD at a loss to move him at that term and cap

If they dont match that also works
We can offer PLD 7x7 and a way out
Or let him stay with WPG till he becomes a UFA or WPG has to offload his matched OS

Either way all the Leverage is in the hands of a former Player Agent known to be a great negotiator
Im more confident in him making Chevy look like a fool unless he signs a OS then i am WPG being able to turn a profit
PLD took their leverage away now other teams are scared off

Oreilly got way less in this situation compared to Duchene who shut his mouth and got a kings ransome in his trade.

He's upset that he was outed that he rather do home improvement shopping at Home Depot than off ice workouts lol

Paul Stastny said after the season that the Jets dressing room is poison. A reporter from the Winnipeg Free Press that retired also said the locker room was filled with the worst human beings he ever met. Paul Maurice, the coach, quit midway through the season. Shall I go on??!

jets need to tear it down. Chevy shouldnt even be a GM after the Chicago fiasco.
