While the amount of money out of MTL is correct I think one player and pick need to be swap.

Anderson swap it for one of this lot ( Drouin or Hoffman or Byron and Armia )
Swap the second round pick to the first round pick from Floride in 2023.

Maybe the fourth remplace with a prospect B like Norlinder, Struble Ylonen Mailloux kind of player.

Not close for Dubois. Extremely unlikely the Jets take a borderline cap dump without compensation and assorted low and pieces.

No, you are not moving Dvorak as part of a package for Dubois. MTL fans need to let this idea die. Dvorak has NEGATIVE VALUE right now (except, perhaps, to a team coached by Rick Tocchet). He was a terrible grab by Bergevin. Take the loss.

"A trade can't be facilitated without it" - that means Dvorak has to go somewhere else in a salary dump trade. Winni's not going to do them a favour; they're already doing them a favour if they trade PLD in the first place; they're not going to do them a huge favour like this.

I don't think the value is too far off. I also don't think Anderson waives to come to the peg...he's where he wants to be and probably wants to play with PLD. If I'm the jets I want Dach, one of Hoffman or Dvorak (needed for salary balance), the FLA 1st and maybe one of Armia or Allen for salary. Jets might be able to flip one of them to another team (Arizona for Allen maybe ??)

I disagree about the value. The Jets are getting 2 average bottom 6 players, one that is very close to being a cap dump and a couple late picks. Not even a 1st. If that's all the Jets get, it will be incredibly disappointing. Especially. If the Jets take on dumps like Armia, Allen or Hoffman without compensation.

I would expect Chevy to push this to next summer if all that is available are poor offers like this.

Chevy can push all he want he could still loose Dubois for nothing, all the player need to do is to choose to don't sign and sit out two year or go play for a European league and come back in two years he will be UFA.

Also a hostile offer could also be an idea look at. For exemple the offer could be for 2 years at a specific number too be under the first round compensation and he sign it. Jets would need to risk taking the second round pick compensation or equal it and Dubois may play badly to annoyed them.

Fortunately you are dead wrong. If Dubois sits out 2 years and then wants to play in the NHL, he still owes the Jets 2 years. If he goes to Europe, plays 2 years and cones back to the NHL, he still owes the Jets 2 years.

There is absolutely nothing he can do to shorten or avoid those 2 years.
