Last year
This year he's yet to submit it
That said he's in a position in PIT where playing him has diminished his value further

He can either be a Matt Beleskey if thats his choice or accept a trade hoping to rebound his career low value.
Personally i think like James Neal his time is up and he's unwilling to adapt to play a lesser role like others for example Milan Lucic.

Each year with PIT his Production and Minutes consistently drop
Apparently no teams on his list last year were interested in him at all

His options might be Waivers or Canada
As if he fails to pass waivers what he wants really no longer matters
Like Beleskey he'll finish his career in the AHL

If he wasnt a Pending UFA i think recooping his lost value matters a lot less
But if he wants to continue to play in the NHL he's gotta do what it takes to raise his extremely low value
Even at a league minimum his play isnt good enough to award a contract

It's a legal thing. His wife has a child from her first marriage and isn't allowed to leave the country with him.

Then he'll retire after this year because he let another man dictate his future.
MANY hockey players leave their families behind with VERY few taking theirs with them

While Crosby has a place in PIT its not his home as he always comes back to help his dad invest in youth hockey, always will.
My point is simple , Zucker's Wife's Ex Husband doesnt limit his options as much as Zucker himself has

Its a shame he let his wife's Ex limit his hockey opportunity's though
That said if he really wanted to play he would and given his on ice effort he doesnt want to play anymore
