I’d rather keep what we have tbh. I’d rather gamble on Miller for two years at less than two million per than Petry for 3 years at over six. Especially if Montreal is asking for our best RHD prospect, Hakanpaa, and a second. Taking Dobby only helps for one of the three years. Nothing about this is smart for Dallas and a trade has to be good for both sides. Nill didn’t like the price tag for Petry so he used that cap space for Marchment and Miller and I think that’s the right move 100%. I honestly believe those two guys do way more for this team than Petry would. Having a stud two way forward will make a huge difference when it comes to getting our young center prospects into the lineup. A healthy Miller could easily be a steal. As I said in another thread, banking on internal growth is a crapshoot but I think we have enough young talent that hoping one or two sticks isn’t unreasonable. That and a better coaching system.. we might surprise some people this year
