Description

The notion that KH can acquire PLD for below market value because the kid has publicly spoken about wanting to go to UFA to sign with MTL is SO funny to me.

I feel bad for Jets fans - but imagine what it would do the Hockey Twitter... like Gaudreau choosing Ohio (which apparently is really nice, but wtv).

Habs would have to clear a lot of cap space - but hell KH would do more for the team in a year than MB in a decade... crazy to think.

Like lets be honest, jets fans don't deserve this... they love hockey like MTL fans and it would destroy my soul if Caufield pulled the same stunt.

Anyway, here is a look of MTL with PLD.

I’m just waiting for the comments from Canadians fan saying this is unfair to Montreal. Whoever said Canadians were polite clearly know nothing about the NHL and it’s fans… 😂😂😂 JK

I don't feel too bad for Winnipeg seeing that they drafted really really well. If they can get some good value for the guys that don't want to be there (PLD, Schief etc) then they can really fast forward a rebuild. IMO only core roster guys they should keep are Connor, Ehlers, Morrisey, Pionk, and Helle

Yeah, there's just no upside to Winnipeg trading Dubois for a pile of nothing, so it's unlikely that happens.

I expect him to trade him at TD in his last year of his 2-year contract.

Then he'll sign with the habs apparently... anyway, we are not competing before a good 2-3 years anyway. (right around the expiration of AM34`s contract in TOR)

I dont see how a PLD trade works unless the Jets are willing to take on cap and give away PLD for cents on the dollar. They'd be better off tanking, PLD will ruin the Jets opportunity at a gamebreaker in the 2023 nhl draft. Leverage couldnt be any less on their side.
