Seeing this outlook really makes you appreciate getting a guy like Giroux on a relatively shorter 3Y UFA deal and not some monster 5-8 year contract like others. That was the very best signing they could have got.

100% . After seeing what Malkin, Letang etc got , I was expecting a 4 year deal minimum

3 mil for Formenton on only a two year deal is too much maybe a 4 year deal he could get 3 mil, something around 2.1-2.4 is more realistic. Brannstrom hasn't showed enough to earn a 2.5 mil contract yet I would go under 1.5 on a 2 year deal for him. That Norris contract could be a big mistake, honestly with the Giroux signing I think everything is set up perfectly for Norris to sign a three year bridge deal, Stutzle will be eating in to his ice time soon and he wont be the only shooting option on the only viable PP unit anymore.

This is forecasting 2 years out, so it would be a 4 year deal for Formenton (2+2=4).
