No. The flyers are a bottom 5 team in the NHL. The team should not pay to have someone take JVR. Retain half and ship him out to someone that is looking for 20 goals this season.... but then again, logic and this GM aren't friends.

Tampa is a very good hockey team with a very good coach, but they have played a lot of hockey the last few years. It would be a real bad look to take on Cap and drop in the draft.

I thought of this when I heard if the GM gave up the 1st to dump JVR he would be fired. But doing this, Phi gets a lower 1st and they can sign JG.

Sometimes you have to gamble, figure if Phi was able to get JG then that pick would be a bottom 16, where TB pick probably 28-32.

You’d really need to add a lot of pieces for a bottom feeder like Philly to move this pick… even then, helping us out hurts the pick… it’s just kinda a major risk
