maybe a guy like Girard is on the move, but I didnt really get the Mason signing. thought he was good, not great for the team last year. curious to what COL fans think

They must see him as a long term solution to replace Johnson who will either leave or make a lot less money next year. Can’t be weak on RD and Manson makes a good partner for any of Toews/Girard/Byram

I would be shocked if the Avs moved Girard anytime soon. I think if they ever move him, it will be next year to make room for Byram and Newhook extensions. But ~11M will come off the books after this season with EJ, Compher and Helm deals. Half that will go to MacKinnon and the other half to Byram and Newhook. 4th line then becomes all min salary guys haha

Manson added an element the team was missing. He has some grit and Bednar allowed him to be more creative offensively. He also was a great fit with the rest of the team according to Peter Baugh (Athletic) and Jesse Montano (DNVR) who cover the team locally.
