Edmonton very easily declines. Not trading him for picks that might very well never turn out. Oilers need a roster player that's able to impact the roster right now.

If a trade can't be made that makes sense for Edmonton then jp has two choices sign and come back play with the best player on the planet or sit out and miss out on earning anything. You really don't think he would look good with Seider on the top pair while Edvinsson can play on the 2nd pair with Hronek? I think Provy and Seider would be a dynamite pair. And if the Flyers had a Seider type, i would definitely not be talking about trading Provorov.

Don't think McDavid would see it any different than it was two years ago when he took off to Finland. Dispute over ice time and or role on the team doesn't effect or make any difference for mcdavid or cause a tarnished look towards the oilers. This stuff happens. He might end up getting moved if/when it makes sense for Edmonton to do.

I think so too but all i've been hearing is that it's harder than original imagined for him to be a straight dump. We can't retain anything either, so if this is a dump and directly leads to Johnny Hockey, I'm all for it. Maybe top 5 protected but with it being Florida's pick, it ain't happening.
