Huge gamble. Lots of familiarity for Murray though. I like it for both sides, but the Leafs got a 2 time Stanley Cup champ for literally nothing. I'm a huge fan of Murray. Call me an idiot all you'd like, but I think he's going to bounce back in a big way.

Well, this is it. I've been a Leafs fan for about 10, maybe 11 years now, but I can't take this stupid trade. The team had so much promise with their core, but acquiring Matt Murray seals the deal. The trade could've been better! I really think it could've been! But Kyle Dumbas doesn't know how to work the phones properly and he got ****ed hard by Ottawa. This stinks. I'm packing my **** and going to Arizona where they know how to run a team. Nice knowing you.

Traded for Debrincat and got rid of Matt Murray without giving up a single roster player or prospect. Tidy few days for GMPD

It should cost a second to dump Matt Murray, not a third.

And Toronto has no business taking cap dumps.

I actually like the bet on Murray after the season he just had (when healthy) but this isn't enough retention or assets coming back for it to be worth it.

The most important part of this trade isn't Murray, but the new goalie coach we hired. ****ing fix him

Wouldn't have made sense for Ottawa. Buying him out would have ended up being cheaper.
