Yeah, Bedard/Michkov is followed by Fantilli/Benson, then Yager/Dvorsky/Stramel. Strong, strong draft.

It's not ideal, but it opens up a lot of options next year for them.

And Fantilli. Yeah, This is exactly what he is thinking. Yes, draft lottery odds will only get you so far, but he also doesn't want to risk missing out on any one of them. Bedard, Michkov, and Fantilli are all seen as franchise altering players. The next kane, Toews, McDavid, Crosby, etc. I get what Davidson is doing, but I don't agree with the way he is going about going about it. It's overkill and will probably make players from outside of the organization think twice about signing with CHI in the future, if he is still here.

i just cannot figure out why you wouldnt keep a 21 year old dach, try to trade stromes rights, sign kubalik to a 1 yr deal and trade him at the deadline, and trade borgstrom for some manner of pick or prospect.

That would require the front office to do their job. This way is easier.
