Pittsburgh has a weak prospect pool and is very protective of their first round picks Under Hextall. It would take a star coming back for Hextall to move it, Dvorak is not a good enough player to get Hextall to do such a thing. There are many options I would prefer than Dvorak:

1. Resign Malkin
2. Trade for JT miller
3. Sign hometown boy Vincent trochek
4. Sign Dylan Strome who is going to be non tendered

Ohh Dylan Strome would be a solid option! The others seams a bit overpriced for your cap situation. Unless you trade Mattheson or Petterson

I chose the blue jackets because of the salary cap, I truly don’t care or know where he goes! I picked Kapanen because I think he’s the type that the habs don’t really care about it could be Struble or Mysak.

It might therefore behoove you to do one or both of the following going forward:
1) Research the team you're proposing trading a guy to so that these misfires can be avoided, and/or
2) Explicitly note in the trade details and/or in the description that this is a "to anyone who will accept him" proposal rather than one to that specific team.

Lekkerimaki has a lot of holes to his game. one trick pony. Nazar is small. His build isn't stocky or muscular, there are about 5 centres in the NHL that play at his build effetcively. They didnt miss out on much after the top 6 picks went off the board.

Dach is a really good bet. Chicago has a history of giving up too early on players ie Danault, Turbo. Even as a 2 way 3rd line center, which is Dach's floor, that plays big is more valuable than a maybe 13th OA pick. Bergevin said for year that it's impossible to trade for a big, talented centre. The Habs got one quite cheap when you consider it was Romanov and a few later picks
