Georgiev's QO is 2.65M, but im hoping he will take less if given an extra year to play on a top tier team. 2x2.5M seems reasonable to me

Sakic overpaid in the trade but goalies are voodoo and I agree with the general idea of spending less in net to make the team stronger elsewhere. Avs are coming off a cup win while playing in front of below average goaltending - this is not a team that needs an elite goalie to win. If Francouz/Georgiev are average then I like our chances

Giroux, Stastny, and Edler are all veteran players near the end of their careers and havent won a cup yet. Im hoping they would prioritize winning over getting a bigger payday at this point in their careers. Edler and Stastny I think are more likely to do this, Giroux reportedly only wants to play on the east coast so I dont know how realistic that one is





For the D pairs, I think if we're putting Girard back on the right side he should play with Toews. Imo Byram is more than capable of playing top pair minutes and should thrive with Makar. Statistically Toews was the best partner for Girard and Byram was the best partner for Makar last season by xGF% and GF%
