Description
I like the idea of trading Scandella and signing one of Leddy,Zadorov,Kulak,Chiarot. I feel like we should keep Krug this season and only consider moving him if Perunovich develops and suprasses him in the lineup. this is how I would rank our Parayko partner options.

1. Zadorov
2. Chiarot
3. Leddy
4. Kulak
5. Scandella

Chiarot shouldn't even be in consideration. Leddy is fine, but we need to get younger, not older. Kulak is a number 5-6 defenseman, but better than Chiarot. Zadorov adds a lot of size and intimidation, but don't think he's reliable enough defensively to let Parayko move up on the play.

Wow. I'm trying to figure out how to say this as kindly as I possibly can... this list is brutal, and it gets worse the higher it goes. I'd rather put Scandella there, and I definitely do not want Scandella there. Sorry, man, but not one of these five would be in my top 15. And Chiarot is a positively gruesome idea. And since you may ask, I'll make a top 5 (of at least somewhat reasonable targets) in no particular order:

    Gavrikov
    Soucy
    Sandin
    Lindgren
    Graves

And Ferraro would be the pipe dream.

Can we interest you in a slightly used, newly repaired Gardiner? We will bubble wrap him on the plane and upgrade to an exit row for him.

Did Chiarot lose all his talent or something? He was one of the big 3 reasons the Habs made it to the finals 2 years ago with Edmundson and Weber. Those 3 we’re probably the 3 best D in their own zone in that playoffs
I didn’t get to see Ben much after he was moved, only saw 4 games in Florida, but he still seemed very solid.

Ehh Chiarot was absolutely not near the top 3 reasons. He got carried by Weber and bailed out by Price. And he was brutal last season at both stops.

You would have a much better chance of getting Muzzin than Sandin I would wager. He would be much better than everyone on this list to pair with Parayko but I doubt TO will move either Sandin or Muzzin

Muzzin is damaged goods and expensive as hell. He would certainly not be preferable to anyone on the list. And word out of Toronto is Sandin isn't happy right now.

    And some tequila.

Does it have a chance of being true? Sure. I don't think it's likely, thought. Just one man's opinion.

I believe there is a chance that 38 year old Gio won't be playing 82 games this year, plus Holl will be scratched enough that there will be ice time available. It's up to Sandin to make sure Keefe has a hard time justifying pulling him out of the lineup.

That is what the trolls are inferring from nothing reports the TO media is blowing way out of proportion. Also Muzzin is not damaged goods. He got hurt last year and was very good in the playoffs once healthy. But he's a Leaf so of course everyone here will say he's a cap dump. If you listen to people on here, Matthews is likely a cap dump.

1- Except it's more than one person saying it. But yes, it could be wrong or it could be right and turn out fine. But as is, he'd be on my list, and the Blues have something that should very much interest Toronto in Barbashev. It makes enough sense to hope it's possible.

2- I'm sure that is all the case, but we'll see how it unfolds.

He wasn't very good actually. He was a turnover machine. He blocked a few shots, but that's about it. He got carried and he was horrible last season and in Florida.

Oh, straight to name calling? Heh, okay man.

1- Dude, Muzzin has had multiple concussions, including TWO INSIDE A MONTH this past season. He is the definition of damaged goods. And he's 33, so he's already sliding anyway.

2- I'm not inferring anything. I'm repeating what was clearly spelled out.

Muzzin is fine, but is overpriced and at the end of his career. He's a cap dump in the sense that Toronto needs to shed salary. And no one thinks Matthews is a cap dump.
