Carlo is statistically a top 10 shutdown D man in the league and I think people forget that because McAvoy is on the same team and he's a top 5 shutdown D. A package for Carlo is an NHL ready prospect and a pick. That may be inflated because of how much Boston values D men, but it's what it'll take.

From TOR- Nick Abruzzese, a 1st, and a 2nd (which they dont have many of unless they look to the 2024 2nd rounder, in which case add a 3rd or another prospect)
From BOS- Carlo

A recent comparable trade is the Lindholm trade Boston made. (If you take out the extras, it was Urho Vaakanainen, a 1st, and a 2nd for Lindholm). Another is the Rasmus Ristolainen trade (Risto for Robert Haag, a 1st and a 2nd) and Carlo is on a way better deal than him.
