I think Francis will need better than that to take a cap dump at a position Seattle has aplenty already! Or maybe you're banking on him having a soft spot for a former first rounder of his in Gauthier?!

How about Chytl just get better at face offs. If Connor McDavid can spend Summer of 2020 training to skate better...Chytl can sure as hell do whatever it takes to get better at a required skill (for his position) which he sucks at. Just sayin- many before him have dedicated themselves to improving at the dot (Crosby being one).

He probably want to win a cup and since the rangers made the ECF he might be willing to go and I've seen people like Edmonton fans signing him for 4mil so I thought it was decent

Once again Jimbo, your on a roll. I'm old school too. The great ones, in all sports, do the work. But I with am with NYRxLundqvist's general sentiment. The NYR have to be "Better at faceoffs." Improving at the dot translates to more O-zone time, hopefully an even better PP, and a less taxed D. If Igor has more time to "take a siesta," he might go to hell with himself. Perish the thought.

There is something to be said about the workload getting (and keeping) goalies in the game...but if that becomes the NYR biggest challenge- then I guess a lot of other things are going well. And hey- if Shest is not up to that adjustment- then maybe he's a guy to move on from! LOL- For the record- I think he'll adjust nicely...and no I'm not looking for him to solve next year's CAP crunch!
