Mode - plafond salarial: Basique

Description

Extending Palat at a decent cap hit means a long term (basically he retires a Lightning)
There are 2 options for Meyers:
1) Buried in the AHL and TB has to play either Bogosian on his offhand and call up a RHD like Jack Thompson for the third pair: or Sean Day at LHD and Bogosian plays RHD. Foote and Sergachev get promoted to the 2nd pair; Cernak to the top pair with Hedman.
2) Buy him out and they have about $2 million to spend on a 3rd pair LHD. Ian Cole, Calvin de Haan, Michal Kempny, among others; or a reclamation project like Will Butcher, Erik Gustafsson.

I think that would have to come with a NMC for 3 years Ntc 2 and MNTC after but at least 3 years NMC.
probably take league min in salary the rest in Bonus and front loaded so it is buy-out proof

yeah you loose multiple next year RFA's extending Palat even at that cheap a hit.

Tampa can extend Palat for over 5, keep Rutta around 2, and still spend 2ish on a 3LD. They may have to.run 21 instead of 22, but it is possible. It won't cost Tampa any of it's main rfas either, as Killorn's hit comes off the books.next year as well as the likely 3LD. It will be tight regardless, but it is certainly viable to re-sign Palat anywhere from 4.75-5.6, depending on whether Tampa wants to run with 21 or 22 players.
