IMO Seattle should continue to rebuild and try and get Bedard. Gourde will surely get a package of a 1st a prospect and another pick. Mrazek is more of a cap dump for a team with cap space and dreidger out for the year. Appreciate the perspective as a kraken fan but from the outside I think it’d be a good move for them
Seattle isn't rebuilding, they are building! Moving Gourde for a solid return may well be a good move for them. But this return is one of the more underwhelming I've seen proposed on here, and adding Mrazek only reduces the appeal.
Honestly, the notion of Seattle tradng for Mrazek is just asinine. There are countless better options to add a stop-gap goaltender this off-season, one that doesn't include 2 years @ 3.8 million and puts them at over 13 million on 3 goalies when Driedger recovers. Would you want Toronto to do that? Doubtful.
Kase is an OK player, for the 40-50 games a team might get from him. The picks and the prospect are definite pluses, but again, whatever value they might have is tremendously stymied by the rest!
Seems your basis for this deal is on the notion that Seattle should tank for Bedard; you're ignoring the reports that Seattle is looking to perform better this year and improve the roster this off-season. They also need to put a product on the ice!
Curious what an "outsider" would think who does not support TOR or SEA???
