I mean if you look at realism it’s unrealistic for the man Stevie Y to sell low on a young player. He buys them. Expect him to make a move for pulju or necas this off-season but also expect him to make the other GM look like a fool. While it makes sense for the team to trade for pulju it is not realistic for Yzerman to give up Zadina in that trade. Probably gives up a second and third or something that allows him to keep his young guns

You said that YOU don't like JP. That doesn't mean the team or management doesn't like him. I don't believe personal dislikes of a player should shut down a whole idea. Especially when this trade isn't even my original idea and has been floating around the website quite a bit lately.

Oilers refuse. Foegele is only a "failed acquisition" if you expected him to score 40+ pts. He did exactly what he has done his entire career. The only reason to trade him is for cap savings and, since this deal doesn't give EDM that, it's a no.
