Friedman has reported that

1. Canucks could do something surprising that nobody is really talking about
2. That the Canucks are looking at a forward who is a combination of a forward that is a scorer and tough to play against.

Combining those two things with the reports that St Louis might have been interested in mcdonaugh I'm tossing this out there. Not really sure how St Louis makes the cap work but if they're willing to let Taresenko move on after the season maybe they could make it work.

I know St Louis fans will be up in arms about this but I'm just trying to come up with something completely unforseen.

I'm not a big fan of moving OEL personally. He was very good in Van last year and would leave a big hole but it does create a lot of cap space. And yes I'm aware he has a full NMC and last year said he would only go to Van or Boston.

Yeah Blues don't have the cap for that and Miller isn't a need for us. Our forwards are already pretty stacked

I couldn't remember the name of the guy that was just bought out in Ottawa.

And I agree on the OEL front. I really like him and don't like diminishing a return. Just thinking outside the box here while we all wait for something to happen.

Nothing about that offer suits the Blues. Just for starters, they can't come anywhere close to near approaching a place to afford that. It's not even worth discussing from that standpoint alone.
