Description

And going with a strategy of better puck movement from the defense leads to better offense. Gave Vatrano longer term at lower rate to spread out cap hit and make it work. Kept Varly as an insurance policy.

I would think that Wahlstrom is untouchable unless you getting an elite winger like Pasta or Debrincat back. Even then it’s tough.

two parts against the trade: I don't think that package is enough for Arizona to move both guys, but I also think paying $4.5M to Ghost to play LD3 is a weird use of cap space. You're only running a 21 man roster and you're out of space, so I would think you focus on a guy making less at LD3 and take that money and invest in more depth. This team looks fine talent wise but is one injury away from very bad times.
