He would be, but if Colorado move him they HAVE to ensure that they get a young 2C or goalie back. So unless Barzal or Sorokin are involved it's probably not a good fit. Maybe Brock Nelson would work alternatively but that's not ideal given the age disparity. Beauvillier would fit nicely on the Avs though.

No he wouldnt hes extremely overrated. Cant drive play at either end and is all reputation and elite teammates at this point. I know thats an unpopular take but thats what the analytics show.

Hey, you could be right. I don't think so but maybe. Girard passes the eye test in my eyes. A young Smooth Skating LD makes sense For the Isles IMO.

Yeah but thats all he does. Youre giving up a ton of value for a guy making 5m long term who isnt good on either end all he does is skate really well and hes young (and he has a solid shot but scoring for defensemen is so volatile). If he wasnt playing with mac and landy and rantanen instead barzal and lee and palmieri he would be considered overpaid. Hes also in the system that fits his skills the best (as opposed to a team like NYI where hed get murdered in the corner).
