Description

Ranking prospects for the Sens, not including anyone who has played 20+ NHL games. I want to see how much I think this will change after the 2022 draft.

Tier 1 = LW -- Elite/Top level prospect
Tier 2 = C -- Top 6/Top 4 Potential
Tier 3 = RW -- 3 Liner/Top 6
Tier 4 = LD -- 4th liner/7th Potential
Tier 5 = RD -- Won't see NHL time in my opinion.
Tier 6 = G -- Goalie rankings

Not really. Don't think anyone thinks Ottawa has a great prospect pool anymore, all the guys who made it a top 3 prospect pool have almost all graduated. Stützle, Batherson, Norris, Formenton, that's a lot of talent graduation. I think they've still got one of the better pools of young talent in the league, and a solid top 5 prospects (Sanderson, Greig, Pinto, Thomson, Bernard-Docker) but looking at just the prospect pool overall it's pretty mid.

Think there's way too many guys in tier 3. Nobody below Kleven should be that high, they're all fringe guys at best imo.

Yeah but like.... prospects who graduate don't just disappear? Like Ottawa will still have them, they just won't fit the prospect label. Like obviously drafting well is still very important and having more good prospects is better, but Ottawa should be at the point where it's the NHL team that matters most, not just the pipeline. I don't care if Ottawa's prospect pool is ranked 5th, 14th or 30th, I care about NHL results
