In no world are the Coyotes taking anything less than a 2nd for Lucic. Coyotes aren't the Sabres, just look at last year when the Coyotes took on all of Ladd, Stralman, Roussell, Beagle, Eriksson, they are looking for real NHL not LTIR bodies. The team isn't "bankrupt" and there are plenty of other teams (Philly, EDM, Van, Tampa, Pitt, Caroline, VGK) who are just as desperate to create cap room as Calgary, so there will be competition for the Coyotes open cap space. Yes, Lucic only making $1M in real money as opposed to $6M in cap is attractive for the Coyotes but that doesn't outweigh the benefit to the Flames of moving out Lucic's money. Same would go for Monahan. So the price will be high.

I think it does. For a team like the coyotes, trying to be as cheap as possible and still hit the floor that's huge. Tell any business owner they can save 5million in a year and operate their business normally.
