Description
For extensions:

Sign Pasta to a $10M x 8 year extension
Sign Barzal to a $8.5M x 8 year extension

That leaves ~$4M to sign Mayfield and Wahlstrom next off-season which is do-able with the right moves.

I saw a report that Vegas was interested in him at the deadline so I just sent him there. You could swap in whatever team and have them give up a 2nd that’ll just be packaged for Pasta. Then Bailey trade I guess you could throw in a 5th or something but Bailey still has value despite his cap-hit. For the Pasta trade I was thinking of throwing in Räty but I thought it’d be too much considering we were already giving up a decent D prospect, 13th overall, a 1st next year, and a 2nd for 1 year of Pasta. I saw in another one of these that Reilly went for a 3rd so I threw in the 3rd to get him.

I don't think Boston is trading Pasta this off-season, not with Bergeron back. If they're on the outside looking in at the deadline and go full sell, the package is really good with 23 and 24 first rounders. But I think they would accept 23rd 1st rounder, Wahlstrom, and a 2nd without Reilly involved.

Picks won't cut it for Pasta. Gonna need to send at least 2 or 3 young players (Wally, Beau, Bellows, Raty) and 1 or 2 firsts

If Pasta will sign an 8x10, Boston will just sign him themselves

What makes Islanders add to the SEA trade. Bailey would have been tied for 3rd on the Kraken in points and 1st on the Kranken in assists last season. He's only owed 3.5 Mill in actual money for 2 more years. The Flames pick will be mid-to-late round 3rd, essentially a fourth and it will be next year making it even less valuable. I think Bailey would be a good fit in Seattle and give them some more stability in their lineup (2nd or 3rd line) as they build to become playoff contenders over the next two years then you let him walk.

He had a surprisingly solid amount of points but advanced stats prove him to be almost a liability on ice. I haven't heard a single Isles fan that liked what he produced last year.

I don't see him scoring even at that rate in SEA, and frankly it's almost amazing how he was able to do that much in Isles.

He's basically another Ryan Donato for Seattle, but he costs five times more. Go and check their even strength stats, they're surprisingly similar.

Also to be frank SEA is stacked enough in terms of wingers, they don't need Bailey.

Maybe they could be interested but still I can't see how they can afford him.

Bailey has very little value due to his cap hit and the fact he's despite his points almost a liability on ice, his advanced stats are pretty bad. He works in a cap dump swap such as Bailey for Muzzin or Bailey for Suter but by himself I don't see any team giving up an asset for him. Teams just have better uses to spend that $5M for.

Wilde as a prospect is near valueless, his stock has dropped dramatically, there's very little chance he ever makes it in NHL. Plus BOS is going to sell Pasta under the assumption that the team acquiring him will re-sign him so they want top value.
