OTT is willing to move the 7OA, MTL wants another Top-10 pick. OTT wants a top 6 winger/top 4D. Top 10 picks traded in the past didn't get much, and usually are in packages for elite prospect/rising players. In this scenario, it's OTT who gets the package. Edmundson is cheaper than Petry, for shorter term and younger and can play top4. Thoughts? How to improv?

When your rebuilding your team you need good veterans to teach and show young guys how to be a pro. Edmundson not only a good veterans and player he's also considered as the future Captain of the team. I would hardly see MTL trade aways him event if it's to give us the #7 pick.

I would hardly do this myself, but I tought that Edmundson Had more value than Petry for the time being and if this trade is going to happen, this would be the price

Yes exactly, edmundson is worth a late 1st and if ottawa were interested in him habs will need to add a good (not top) prospect along with the 26th and another mid rnd pick.

If ottawa are interested in edmundson I'd say, maybe ottawa gets edmundson, CGY 1st, 2023 3rd round pick, and one of rem pitlick or jan mysak
