I like how you traded one of the leafs best PK defenders and called him a defensive liability and then signed Jack Johnson, who's middle name is defensive liability

Chicago pays for a defensive liability.

Cap strapped Kings give up the better player for twice the cap.

Holl cannot manage the puck and no point in keeping a PK guy around on a team that doesn't take penalties. he also is overpaid and has cost them 2 playoff series in a row

yeah, none of that is true at all. Holl is fine with the puck, and it doesnt matter if you take the least amount of penalties out of anyone, you still need players to PK. He is also paid fairly for a 4th defender and hasnt cost them a thing.

Chicago is selling and will take anyones sloppy seconds for a late round pick anyday

Kings take on kerfoot and give up moore for prolly a 3-5 round pick pretty much the same player and kings get a extra pick back

"Leafs move cap and receive a solid player in return"

How about "Kings trade away a solid player and double the cap hit without improving"?

Our chances of re-signing local boy Trevor Moore, for whom we traded, are vastly superior to our chances to re-sign Alex Kerfoot, mostly because in 2023 Moore will probably be asking for little more than what Alex Kerfoot is making now.

I don't see the "3-5 round pick"; all I see is the "extra pick" -- a virtually worthless future fifth.

Kerfoot is better than moore and he will fit the kings system better than the leafs system

It may be true that Kerfoot will fit the Kings' system more than he fits the Leafs' system, but Moore already fits the Kings' system just fine -- Moore/Danault/Arvidsson was one of the top 5 lines in production in the NHL after January 1. We shouldn't try to fix what ain't broke.

If Grand Rapids needs a tomato can then Clifford will do. The future considerations can be a signed Carlo Colaiacovo Red Wings jersey.

Not disagreeing, but Colorado didn't do too bad after Girard was injured and Jack Johnson replaced him. For league minimum Johnson stays with Colorado I'd guess.

For someone that's so good every Tor ACGM trades Kerfoot. Haven't seen a LAK ACGM trade Moore. The Fiala trade and Kempe RFA is probably it for the Kings offense.

At least it wasn't a Muzzin for Moore trade.

Johnson got obliterated on Colorado, he looked terrible. Lucky for them they had Makar, Toews, little brother and Manson to cover for him. He averaged 6 mins a game less than any other defender and only played more than 4 of colorados least needed forwards.
The only reason he's in colorado is as a favour to his brother, will they keep him for league min? maybe, but that doesnt mean another team should give him money

So he plays 10 mins a night for the leafs and gets carried, Id trust him with those 10 mintues more than that AHL plug Holl

And youd have a much much worse hockey plauer for it. Johnson is worse by every metric and the eye test

Hawks aren’t taking Holl and especially not for 6th round pick. We need room for our young guys coming up and already don’t have much room for Mitchell Regula and Vlasic
