Realistic for my standards

Alright I don't know if this is actually realistic, but compared to past teams I've made it is a little more. I think we at least need some small changes to add more youth and an edge to this team for next year. I believe the team got stale at some points last year (we had so many guys besides for our top line and Malkin and Rakell who played similar styles and were the same types of players (Heinen, Rodrigues, McGinn).

I would say fairly realistic but I think Malkin and Rodrigues will get more. Maybe malkin takes a discount but from reports I heard, it seems like he won’t take a discount.

I think malkin gets more and even then I don't think hextall cuts it this close to the cap. To make this realistic you have to lose one of Rodriguez or Zucker

Wings aren't interested in pettersson. If you want to pay them some decent assets to take his contract off your hands so you can use the cap space elsewhere feel free, otherwise looks like he's gonna be staying put

Personally, I agree with you. But this trade has been proposed on here a lot and has been pretty widely accepted by Wings fans. I’d say we’re about 60/40 for it at this point

I would offer Malkin high 5 mil for 3 years or low 6 mil for 2 years, take it or leave it at this point. Getting close to 7 mil is too much for someone who has been hurt a lot recently and is going to be 38 by the end of the contract. I love Malkin he's always been one of my top favorite players, but taking emotion out of it anything over 6.5 is just too much imo.
