What a nightmare deal that VAN deal is. Ottawa gives up two good prospects, two 3rds and the 7th Overall pick to get Conor Garland and swap Zaitsev for an even worse contract. The other two deals are similarly terrible. Sens hemmorage assets to end up with Kassian in the top six and a 6mil 3rd pairing Dman.

Paying to dump Murray makes even less sense if Kassians coming back. Same idea ditching Zaitsev just to take Myers back. A lot of value given up for Marino but at least I can see the vision with that one.

I’d hope Ottawa passes on all three of these.
