yeah dude haha... and no way BUF takes that deal. RNH and Eberle aren't worth ROR and the 1st round pick is a late one. Kelfbom/Pulijujarvi and I'd do it if I was BUF.

im sorry but a 50pts centre for a 50pt RW and a 40pt centre (both on career low shooting percentages) + a 1st round pick. you're telling me thats not a fair trade? u must be bad at math

haha classic case of EDM fans thinking they have the best players in league. Eberle is serviceable, but I don't care about raw point totals or the "math" as you put it. In that case I guess the Flyers could trade you Nick Cousins for Puljujarvi since Cousins had more points - "do the math." It's about what they provide for the team. Eberle rates out as a middle 6 forward so 2/3 liner and RNH grades out as a middle six forward like Eberle but drives play like a 4th liner. If you want a 1C it's going to take more than two guys that are meant for the 4th line and are grossly overpaid for what they bring to a team.

BUF is getting robbed in that deal and you need relax..

Marleau wouldn't sign with the Oilers either.

I agree Buffalo wouldn't make that trade but how can you say Nuge and Eberle are "meant" for the 4th line?

never said they are meant for the 4th line like they are I was talking their stats this year put them in the 4th-3rd line territory in some cases.. I said Eberle is a 2nd or 3rd liner. RNH is a 3rd liner, but drives play and creates like a 4th liner. Both, IMO, are 3rd liners and Eberle has the ability to play up on the 2nd and maybe the 1st in a pinch. I like them both, but if you're argument is you can get any player as long as the two guys point totals are equal or greater is just foolish. In that case PIT could send Malkin/Maatta to EDM for mcDavid and it would be "fair" in that guys mind...

Yeah that is fair, Eberle certainly doesn't drive the play more of a complimentary piece but I think you need to play him with 1st or 2nd line players to get the most out of him. Nuge drives the play more but certainly doesn't finish like a 1st or 2nd line player and makes too much to play on the 3rd line. In any case point totals don't justify who is worth what in a trade I agree.

That's what I'm saying. I really like both of them, but with the emergence of Drai and McDavid they can be moved down the lineup and honestly that is great for EDM to be able to play those guys against other teams because most teams don't have that depth. I just don't understand being insulted for saying BUF gets robbed and then the guy tells me to "do the math" and realize that those two combined score more. What hell? That doesn't even make sense lol. I also don't get if he thinks they are so valuable or superstars why he would trade both for one player...
