I know your logic is that because you're taking Zucker the Pens forfeit a better return on Marino, but that's still a laughable return. The Pens would probably rather just move Marino in another deal where they get a real return. Plus, I think it's highly unlikely Marino gets moved. It's more than likely Pettersson.

I love the first three trades.
While many Edmonton fans think Puljujarvi has more value than Olofsson, they seem to have a hard time providing evidence.
Smith would certainly give the Sabres a solid GK, IDK how Buffalo would rotate Anderson, Smith and Luukkonen.
Regardless Smith and Puljujarvi would be good picks up for Olofsson, Edmonton may need to add IMO.
I think Mittelstadt is on the verge of giving us 20 goals and 50 pts, but Crouse adds grit to the team, so I like this deal.
Bryson and a second for Zucker and Marino IMO may be too much.
Many ACGM's think it may cost a couple of seconds to move Zucker, let's presume you nailed the exchange.
Zucker is over paid but he has 17 goals in his last 79 games.
Nearly all Penguin ACGM's do not want to move Marino, he would certainly fit into the Buffalo line up.
Since you traded for Smith and Buffalo has Levi, Luukkonen and Portillo why do we need Brossoit?
I would much rather keep Johnson than trading for Hague especially it appear LHD is set for the next dozen years.

OVER ALL I love it.
This is the best Buffalo future I have seen.

I appreciate the compliment! Pittsburgh fans may certainly not like the deal but if they want to shed some cap and get a serviceable, young defenseman, that trade does it. They shed nearly $9m in cap, get a pick, and a young defenseman that can move the puck. It seems like rarely do trades on here work out like they do in real life (some ACGMs thought Fiala would go for the Eichel price).

I like Johnson as a prospect but I fear he won't sign. With Hague his is good and is a big defenseman (like we need more), but he has experience and is an RFA so we can have a cost-controlled player for a bit longer. I added Brossoit for Vegas to shed cap as they have Thompson and Lehner, with Thompson playing really well.

My thought was send Brossoit to Rochester to be the veteran down there. I read the other day that the plan for Smith in Edmonton is to put him on LTIR for his last year and Buffalo could acquire his rights to do that just in case (I may have read the piece wrong), and then Campbell is your 1A with UPL and Anderson being some sort of 1B and 1C deal. Brossoit is insurance in case they fall apart in goal like they did last season.
