What do Oilers fans think of this trade

Description
Puljujarvi sounds like he isn’t resigning and Kane is a maybe. Picking up Anderson is kind of a mixture of both, and taking on Kassians contract will dampen the blow of cap constraints. Allen can provide key starts for Edmonton and I believe is an upgrade over Smith and a nice cap. I’m not sure if Montreal would take Kassian back after the ****show he had in Montreal but maybe another cap dump like Barrie. Thoughts?

Oilers should absolutely not be trading for Anderson however if they did I’d swap Barrie for Kassian for the reasons you mentioned. Take out bourgault and the pick habs retain on Allen and Oilers probably kick over a second

Puljujarvi Barrie and a 2nd for Allen and Anderson?

I don’t hate that but I don’t really see a retention on Allen’s contract. What if instead of Bourgault they included Broberg? I don’t really know which prospects the oilers value most but I think the habs would like to add prospects over picks since they all ready have so many

Habs are definitely not doing that, why should we Trade Allen for Puljujarvi who have about the same value right now and Trade Anderson and take a cap dump without getting a quality prospect back? Basically you are saying we give you Anderson for free, how does that make sense?!

Allen retention is just to make the numbers work for the one year. I don’t like Anderson or Allen personally so that’s why my opinion is probably skewed

Jp has more trade value then Allen. Tbh Oilers shouldn’t be even considering moving him for anything less than a roster player of equal value and a pick. Aloe doesn’t have the stats that make me think he can be a starting goalie. And I think Anderson is a dud. I think he’s a worse version of Kane and an extremely overpriced version of JP. Barrie isn’t a cap dump. He gets treated like one cause our cap situation is ****ed but he plays his role well

Personally I am not the biggest fan of Anderson or Allen. Anderson is too injury prone. If they were wanting him so bad, I would just sign Kane for a few more million and have a guy who is less injury prone and works well with McD. But for the purpose of the trade you suggested, I would say that's pretty accurate

“The Oilers shouldn’t even be considering moving JP for anything else other than a roster player of equal value and a pick”. But if Edmonton gets someone of “equal value” why does the other team throw in a pick if they are trading away “equal value”?

Example. Equal value in terms of production this year. I would say Jp didn’t have a great season. I’d say he’s a better player then the stats suggest. So someone with equal production but that’s kind of their ceiling. Compared to JP who can still develop that’s why say a third is included. In reality we will probably trade him for peanuts on the dollar. The one thing I don’t get with Jp trades is ppl keep trading him cause we can’t afford to pay him 3+ apparently yet everytime I see him get traded, people price him at 1.5 or something which we can and should do.

As a Habs fan I really like this trade. I like Anderson a lot and I think he’d be a great fight with Connor.
Allen does not fix their goaltending but would certainly help.
I’d gladly take a shot at Poolparty even if we had to give up a little more or receive a little less.

Great proposal, Habs bias? Maybe, hard to tell as we all as sports fans see greater value from our own players.

Its meaningless talk as Josh 100% blocks this trade with his limited NTC which will have Edmonton on it with Winnipeg, guarranteed.
