Did you click publish by mistake or will you be editing the Nylander trade to make it fair?

Rakell is a UFA so he no trade value. Now the Leafs may not get too much in return for Nylander if no cap is returned to the Leafs. But maybe the Pens like the idea of trading for RWers from the Leafs....Its worked before (Kessel)

Yeah makes total sense to trade William Nylander for a pending UFA in Richard Rakell.

gonna pretend you're just playing 'see the fit' and the trade doesnt mean anything, so in that case, The Pens and Leafs make terrible trade partners for Nylander.
The leafs already need another top 6 forward, trading Nylander means they STILL need another 2nd liner even if they get one back in the trade, and then the Pens dont have a top 6 forward (other than crosby, but that's not happening) that the leafs would want for nylander

Sorry that's not how this works. A point a game player who's 26 is going to bring back a major return. His contract is a bargain and he's still likely to get better. Giving him away because he makes 7 million because no one wants to add cap is just insane. Good players are sought after no matter what and the Leafs could get a major haul whether they take back cap or not.
