I think they only move Necas in a Fiala package. Don't think Addison and a better pick would cut it

Take a Chance? there is no chance about it, Necas is a great two-way player that has more Offensive upside in him and is very young. I highly doubt Canes would move him for that package.

Also, Ott should decline, while the trade is a good value, and Fiala is a great player. For the sens, I think the contract that it would take to get Fiala to stay in OTT becomes a problem when you have to get Stutzle and Sanderson contracts soon after what the Norris contract is gonna cost this summer, not to mention others.

I think Fiala has to be going back the other way... You can get more, but I think it starts with Fiala for Necas, and then you go from there

Im surprised by the other comments - Necas is nowhere near as good as Fiala. I think Addison + 2nd is fine value wise

Necas plus a second and a mid prospect for Fiala. This offer doesn’t do much for the Canes. Necas Fiala base deal makes sense for both of these teams.

If Necas goes to Minny it’s for Fiala. Addison is nice, but really doesn’t fill a need and only blocks the Canes young guns in Chicago from being brought up.

Since coming to Ottawa, Joseph has scored at about the same pace as Fiala.

Ottawa declines.

While I certainly don't disagree that Joseph is the return. Or that he would be moved.

He certainly did not score at the same pace as Fiala did, even after joining Ottawa.

I was comparing Joseph in his time with Ottawa to Fiala's entire season with Minnesota as a whole.

It doesn't work that way.

An 11 game span doesn't make for the same PPG pace as Fiala over his year though. Fiala still carries a much higher PPG pace in each of the 3rd and 4th quarters of the season than Joseph does in his 11 games with Ottawa. Both of which spanned 22 games.

If you want to compare Joseph's scoring rate with Fiala, you have to compare them during that self-same 11 game stretch or by production by quarters. In either case Fiala far outstrips Joseph in terms of both PPG pace and production.
