2) Wilson is gone for the first half of the year
3) not sure WSH can afford to lose the toughness

Yeah, that's why Washington was so good in the playoff series against Florida (despite them losing), I can't see them giving up quality aspects of their team for more quality forwards which they might not even have enough cap space to resign

Willy for Willy on both of my favorite teams! I actually love this deal for both sides.

For Washington, I'd accept this in a heartbeat. We can afford to lose the toughness, especially if it's to bring in a dynamic offensive player, which we'll really be in need of now that Backstrom's career is probably done, and Mantha and Oshie always seem to be dealing with some new injury.

For Toronto, I'm a little more hesitant, especially with Wilson missing some time next year. That said, I think I'd also accept this deal if I was Dubas, but for Wilson and the #20 overall pick this year instead of the two seconds. What Wilson would add to the Leafs might be enough to finally push them past the first round.
