Giroux is a bit of a dream, Paul probably gets north of 3M and Palat gets a raise and term elsewhere.
Lightning can't afford to give Palat term with Cirelli, Colton, Cernak, and Foote all needing extensions in 2023-24.

Palat likely has very little desire to leave a top contender to go to a bubble team or non playoff team over a little more $. The most likely plan is re-signing Palat and Paul this off season, trading Killorn and then moving McD out one way or the other after next season.

5mx5 is 25m, 5mx7 or 5.8mx6 is 10m more. It's a whole lot of money potentially. Other teams are going to be improving and it's his chance to get paid and potentially join a rising team.

Paul is liking moving on as well. I expect Tampa to sign Mikheyev (he wants 4-5m) but I suspect Tampa can get him in the 3s for a bit more term. He's probably overestimating what he would get on the free market as well.

Any team that pays Palat 7 or even 6, lol. The teams that can aren't contending for a Cup. Palat will probably be offered 5 million or a little more, and doubt he leaves Tampa. Paul doesn't have the same ties to Tampa so maybe he leaves over $, but Tampa will also offer him solid $ to stay and likely win a Cup in the next 2-3 years(maybe more than one). No want for Mikheyev at all.

7 or 6 years at 5-5.8m Pittsburgh or Colorado could do it if they want I doubt they would give him term like that though. That being said he won 2 Stanley Cups already, he's 31 years old. If he thinks he can play another 6-7 years, why wouldnt he go to a team that can pay him 6-7m with term?

Mikheyev is a fast PKer and seems to have found a bit of a scoring touch (managed to get 4 SHGs last year). His puck handling is awful, but still I see him as a viable Paul replacement minus the physicality. I assume Kucherov could recruit him if JB wanted him.

No thanks, Tampa would rather pay Paul than overpay a worse player. Tampa will probably offer Palat what they need to in term to keep him. He grew up a Bolts fan, played his entire career with Tampa, and likely has no desire to leave. He's already made close to 40 million, and with the tax advantage in Tampa, he'll make plenty more to stay. If Paul wants to leave, fine. There are other guys Tampa will target before overpaying a one hit wonder like Mikheyev.

Yeah, I think Palat would stay if they offer him the term. I wonder if Flr try to poach him if they manage to move Bob and don't end up resigning Giroux.

Paul (Mar '95) has similar production to Mikheyev (Oct '94) in the past 3 years, I was suggesting that they sign Mikheyev for less than what Paul gets.

Mikheyev won't be in the top 6, and Tampa usually goes for more physical, grinder types with some goal scoring ability for those roles. Don't see Mikheyev fitting a good role in Tampa as a 3rd liner.

That's a fair point, I think he would want a place where he can at least compete for a top 6 spot. I think Hagel will be a replacement for Palat or Killorn, so yeah unless they are both going Mikheyev probably wouldn't be a fit.

On another note, I don't get why people are trying to move Serge this year.
