These are some horrendous deals my guy. Garland and Boeser should not be traded aware for scraps. I see you’re a Leafs fan so these awful moves make sense

Garland is the same player as Kerfoot but makes 1.5 million more. The Leafs can't afford him. Please stop this. He's your bad contract.

Kerfoot and Garland are the same player. Middle 6 wingers, same size, play the same style, but Kerfoot can play centre and makes 1.5 million less. He's one of many overpays from Benning.

I do find it funny how the two comments on this post are complete opposite ends of the spectrum

Canuck fans dream of Garland being as good as Nylander but the results speak for themselves. Garland is a good player. No question, but so is Kerfoot. There is little to differentiate between the two. Apart from some extra versatility Kerfoot offers by being able to play centre, and he also makes 1.5 less. That's all that matters from the Leafs point of view. It's a lateral move that costs more cap space.

That’s a hot take and a half buddy. Garland has some of the best analytics in the league. Comparing him to Kerfoot who was carried by the big 4 is funny. Garland is nowhere near an overpay because getting a player who put up 50 even strength points for under 5 mil is no easy. Garland also has term whereas Kerfoot is a rental. If Kerfoot is so good for his lovely contract, why is every Leafs fan trying to ship him out of town asap? I’m not saying Kerfoot is bad but it makes no sense for Vancouver

Leafs fans dream of Nylander being better than Miller and actually being able to get out of the first round. Garland produced 2.62 points per 60 at even strength, which ranked 28th in the NHL. Garland has a long term team friendly contract for a top 6 winger with great analytics. Garland had to play with Jason Dickinson while Kerfoot played with Tavares and Nylander most of the year. If Kerfoot is so good like you say, why do so many Leafs fans want to trade him, and why do so many want Garland to replace him?

Because they need to save capspace. Not because they don't want him. I don't want to move Kerfoot but it may need to happen

Also no, I don't think anyone thinks Nylander is currently better than Miller. However, he's under contract for a team friendly deal for 2 more years, is coming off a career year and has still lots of growing to do. Compare that to a soon to be 30 year old FA who will want to recoup money from his prime, makes him more valuable than Miller.
